Hi everyone! Thanks for stopping in. If you're new here from Sew Mama Sew, Welcome!
I saw giveaways all over blogland and Instagram and wanted to join in on the fun. For those of you that are new - let me introduce myself.
A am a mom to 2 crazy little boys ages 6 and 4. They are my whole world. In an effort to find a way to spend more time with them and quit my day job - I jumped head first into a Long Arm Quilting business last year. Latimer Lane Quilting. I would say this last year has been crazy! Busy, hard, so rewarding, and so inspirational. The problem with being a long arm quilter - I want to make all the quilts that come through my door!
I have been offering a special of $.01 per inch this last year. Before I owned a machine, it was so hard to find a good quilter at decent prices. I love this sewing hobby we all enjoy. But after spending $100+ on fabric for the top - I didn't want to go and do it again for the quilting. My special is coming to an end with the end of the year - but I will always keep a nice selection of patterns at $.01 an inch - and my overall pricing will still stay low. My highest prices will be what most start their edge to edge pricing at!
If you're interested - please contact me - if I have you on my schedule before the end of the year - I will still honor the special pricing - even if we don't get to your quilt until January. Check out all my patterns and information here.
I am also starting to sell fabric on a small scale over at my Etsy store Gracie Lane Quilts. I sell finished products as well as kits and precuts. I am adding more over the next few months so please check back.
NOW to the giveaway. What you all really want me to get to! I am offering 2 Giveaways.
First up -
This cute little table runner made out of High Streets by Lily Ashbury for Moda. I love this line - and the grey fabric was my favorite piece hands down. I love how the orange border makes it pop! The runner measures 10 x 28 and perfect for just about any area. Quilted with a simple crosshatch.
Second up -
A layer cake of Aspen Frost by Basic Grey for Moda. I LOVE this line - and have a few projects in the works using these layer cakes. This would make a great gift for someone - or give you a head start on next years project (unless you're super fast and can finish something in a week!)
To win - leave me a comment telling me what your favorite precut of fabric is. Layer Cakes? Jelly Rolls? Charms?
Will ship to anyone within North America. Winner will be announced by December 15th.
Thanks Sew Mama Sew for hosting this day - so fun!

Fat quarters are my favorite, but I also love charm packs. Thanks.
I like FQs and charms
Hmm, I would say layer cakes of the choices given. I prefer yardage or FQs though, b/c then I have plenty to get to when (not if but when) I need to make a second block due to mistakes! :)
I like charm packs. I get to play with the entire line of fabric for about $10 :).
I am enjoying minicharms for hexie work.
I love layer cakes!
Layer cakes lend me so many possibilities! Cute looking family!
I love jelly rolls - they make such fast & beautiful quilts. Thanks so much!
I love jelly rolls because one will make a nice size lap quilt.
Layer cakes and fat quarters are my favorites. Thanks for the giveaway!
I'm a gigantic layer cake fan. JUST enough most of the time!
Bree.mcelroy@me.com
I am not a huge fan of precuts though I have made a few things out of each listed (all things I have won) I prefer to use fat quarters as I like to do things out of non traditional sizes. But if I had to pick it would be jelly rolls.
I love all precuts, but if you looked at my stash, you would see a lot of jelly rolls!
I love charms and layer cakes if you're looking at packaged precuts. Although I like buying fabric in 1/2 yd cuts when I see something I like. Thanks!
I love jelly rolls, mostly because I hate cutting strips.
Love charm packs
I love using charm packs. I've made dozens of purses using charm packs. They make matching colors so easy.
Ha! That's a good question. I started collecting jelly rolls, next came layer cakes which I still love and most recently I've been collecting the 5" charm packs. They all seem to have a place.
I like charm packs. If there is fabric I like more (or a line I love) I"ll get FQs.
My favorite precuts are fat quarters.
I love layer cakes. I can use them as is, or cut them up into charms. So versatile.
I find charms to be crazy fun. Lots of eye candy for relatively little money!
My favorite pre-cut is a layer cake.
I've only used fat quarters but I'd like to branch out to jelly rolls.
If I don't have a specific project in mind yet I get one or two charm packs of the lines I really like. Sometimes just seeing it all in person spurs me on to buy a LC or JR.
Charm squares so far.
I love layer cakes!
I like layer cakes: you can do so much with them: strips, squares, triangles, even big circles!!
I like working with layer cakes. It seems like I have more design options with them, and they show off a large scale print nicely, too.
probably Jelly rolls, my strips are never that precise and I so appreciate not having to cut them.
I haven't used many precuts, but I think Layer Cakes are the most versatile for sure. I'd love to win -- thank you so much!
I like Fat quarters and Jelly Rolls. Thanks for the chance!
I prefer fat quarter bundles....but layer cakes are more budget friendly.
Charms, but all pre-cuts are incredible time savers!
I've only ever bought pre-cut FQs. It would be fun to try some other sizes :)
I prefer FQ bundles but Jellyrolls are nice too :)
I think the layer cakes are great, but I've worked with charm squares too--so easy! Great giveaway!
I love any precut but i tend to use Charms most often.
Thank you for the chance.
I've not started sewing yet so I don't have a fave as I am still gathering materials and supplies to start/learn. :)
I love the size of layer cakes - very handy and versatile. But charm packs are great too.
Love layer cakes the best, and charm packs come a close second.
Great giveaway! I like jelly rolls. I am currently obsessed with hexies and it is so easy to may 2.5 squares with jelly rolls. :) Thanks for the chance to win. Too bad you don't live closer to quilt my things for such a good price.
My favorite precuts: jelly rolls, layer cakes and fat quarters!
that is a stunning table runner! wow.
i like jelly rolls! fun for QAYG projects.
thank you for the chance to win!
I have only ever used charm packs. Thanks for the chance to win.
I love working with jelly rolls, so much beauty wrapped up in a little circle of fabric!
I like jelly rolls and charm packs, I love the variety they contain
I like layer cakes the best. This one looks beautiful!
I love jelly rolls, but I'm beginning to love charm packs, too.
You have a lovely blog! I love the runner - the orange is fabulous! For me, I like Layer Cake - more diverse I think! thanks!
Charms are my favorite pre-cut. I've also used a couple of layer cakes, though.
I've never used pre-cut material; my nearest fabric store is, depending on how you figure, Wal-Mart (30 miles, round trip, across a couple of mountains) or Joann's (70 miles, round trip and across a mountain).
I love layer cakes! Thanks for the chance to win!
I prefer layer cakes....I am not as limited with those. Thanks for the chance to win!
Charms are my favs.Lovely giveaway,so generous of you.thank you for the chance to win it.
I love charm packs (because for the price I can get so many cute prints)
Thanks so much for the chance - I love that runner!!! I used to be a fat quarter gal (so many possibilities for cutting) but I'm loving jelly rolls lately. Maybe it's all the scrappy trip alongs I can't stop making?
Its probably a tie between layer cakes & charm packs! I seem to have quite a collection of those! ;-)
I seem to buy charm packs and fat quarters most. Probably because a can pickup a little at a time.
I am all about layer cakes. Use them all the time ;)
I love them all - fat quarters are usually the go to but the ease of precuts is wonderful!
I am amazed at how far I can stretch a layer cake! This size pre-cut is adaptable to many block sizes.
I think I like precut jellies best. I always seem to have trouble cutting strips exactly so they're great for me.
Layer cakes or charm packs
I like jelly rolls the best.
I've only worked with charm packs, but sometimes I find it isn't quite enough! I'd love to try a layer cake!
Jelly Rolls all the way.
There's not a pre cut I didn't like .. I love them all!
I love layer cakes. I think they are the most versatile of the bunch. So if I love a line but don't have a particular pattern in mind I buy a layer cake. Thanks!
Hi Abby! Jelly Rolls are my favorite... but Layer Cakes are a close second! I LOVE the quilts you have done for me! Merry Christmas!
Seems I use jelly rolls most often...so many patterns fit them. I'm painting the kitchen today yellow/grey..that runner will accent it beautifully!
I love charm packs because I get a little of each fabric in the line and they are great for the small projects I like to do
Fun! I have only worked with a jelly roll, but I'd like to try a charm pack.
Love the charm pack
I would say charms are my favorite.
I love jelly rolls...they are great for bindings! Thanks for the giveaway!
I love charm packs because they are just a little piece of each of the fun fabrics.
I love fat quarters....and layer cakes....and charm packs....oh, darn it...I love them all. kmcassie@gmail.com Thanks for the giveaway!
I love jelly rolls!
I love fat quarters. :)

I love Layer Cakes and that Aspen Frost is calling my name. Lol! Thanks for the opportunity to win it!
I use a lot of charm packs and layer cakes. Thanks for the chance I really like your table runner, good luck with your quilting business
Ooh I love that fabric line too. Although I have only ever bought 2 and haven't used either of them yet I think I like charm packs the best, since they don't break the bank but give you some great options for quilt making.
I love charm packs-so easy to make patchwork squares or half square triangles! Thanks so much for the chance to win! Yay!
Layer cakes!
I've never bought any of them! Crazy I know, I'm sure it would help with some of my wonkiness! Thanks!
I like to use charms for scrappy quilts and baby quilts, but I really prefer to buy Fat Quarters. Thank you so much for your giveaway.
Layer cakes are my favorite, they are so versatile!
Layer cakes for me, more fabric to play with :-)
Charm packs because they are inexpensive and you can get a good selection
I like charm packs - you get a little bit of everything for usually a very good price!
Thanks for the chance!
stephmabry(at)yahoo-dot-com
It used to be charm squares, but then it was layer cakes, not I just save time and buy the whole fat quarter set if it looks like I will like most of the fabrics.
I don't use precuts much...but when I have it's been charms or jelly rolls.
I like layer cakes.
i would love to win the layer cake. i only make charity quilts and could make big blocks out of this. since i am low income and cant afford fabric. thank you babscorbitt@gmail.com
Charms are my favorite, I seem to make a lot of baby quilts and that works the best with some yardage. I like all of the precuts, I'm color challenged so it works the best for me. Thanks for the great giveaway, I LOVE the orange border on your Tablerunner. I'd love to follow you on GFC or Bloglovin but I don't see a link. Please email me at tpott@optonline.net if you can help me. Thank you, Toni Anne ;->
I love Charms. You can make a lot with just one pack! Thanks!

I love jelly rolls with cozy quilt patterns. fast and fun
I like jelly rolls- made some quick 1600 quilts with jelly rolls this year!
I love layer cakes. I also love the hard to find dessert rolls. 5 inch strips come in handy.
I like charms, if I just want to see what the fabric looks like, but I like buying layer cakes if they are $30 or less, if I know I just love the whole fabric line.
Hi!
Actually, I love the 2 1/2" mini charms by Moda. I can get some great ideas flowing with those small squares, and having the whole pack of them is so much fun because you get cuts of each fabric in the line. If you haven't tried them, I recommend that you do!
I'm a self-taught quilter, and still kind of in the beginner level of things, so I love fat quarters. I find them really easy to work with, and really easy to cut down to size to make smaller squares if I want. I've also been a huge fan of your blog - which I found totally randomly - for about three years now!
layer cakes.
I have only worked with Charms, so for now, they are my favorites. They make up fast and are always fun fabrics. Thanks!
Layers cakes, i love them
HELLO,love charm packs! Thanks for a neat giveaway! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
Usually I buy fat quarters, but I can see the fun in charms!
For precuts I mostly purchase fat quarters. Charms and Layer Cakes are 2nd. Thanks for the opportunity to win this beautiful runner & fabric!
Lovely giveaway! My favorite precuts are charm packs, but I love them all!
Fat quarter bundles.
There is no "bad" kind of precut ;), so it's hard to pick a favorite. But I do love those little charm quares-- I guess for today, those are my fav. (I reserve the right to change my mind at any time based on whatever pattern happens to be in front of me, lol)

I love layer cakes, they are hard to come by and very expensive when I find them locally, always have to order them online
I love Layer cakes and charm packs. Thanks!!
Fat quarters are definitely my favorite!
I like fat quarters because I'm not a quilter and I can't always find stuff to do with the other selections!

Barb@Witsend
I like jelly rolls.
I use FQ's and charm packs a lot.
Layer cakes are awesome but I prefer actual yardage.
It tends to be charms, but I've never BOUGHT a layer cake, and I have an idea if I could it's what I'd do for all lines that I liked! Thank you for the giveaway!
I love fat quarters, but charm packs...a close second!
Fat quarters top my list, charms are fun to see the fabrics in each line. Thanks for the giveaway.
Fat quarters are my favorite!
I love charm packs-and fq, never bought a layer cake,
Fat quarters are my fav. I don't do much with charms...options are to confined. Jelly rolls...just don't need any strips. but FQ...enough there to do so many things!
I love fat quarters and layer cakes!
I've only done one quilt so far and that was with a jelly roll. I'm looking forward to trying some other cuts.
dewiec(at)yahoo(dot)ca
Jelly rolls. So versatile!
I have only used charms once. I would love to have the layer cake. Fingers crossed.
I like fat quarters, more options.
I like fat quarters but layer cakes are really good. If I'm doing lots of HST, charm packs can't be beat. I'd love your layer cake. Thanks.
Charms for me every time
For awhile I was collecting a lot of charms... they are hard to resist!
I love the layer cakes.
Layer cakes are awesome. I love most pre-cuts though. Btw, I am in love with that Moda High Street fabric. I just recently bought a charm pack of it. It is so pretty.
FQ and charms
fiveninesix@gmail.com
i'm new to quilting and haven't used anything but fat quarters, although i have been eyeing quite a few charm packs. this would be a great chance!
I have a few layer cakes, getting ready to use them. I am a new quilter, but this seems to be a good size. Merry Christmas. crystalbluern at onlineok dot com
I tend to purchase mostly fat quarters or charm packs. Charm packs are a great way to get the fabrics from an entire collection for not very much money! Plus they're a great size to sew together and get a quick table topper. :)
I am actually not a fan of precuts. They seem so pricey for what you get, and there never seems to be a big enough piece for what I want. So I opt for FQs, HYs, and full yardage. :)
I have never met a layer cake that I didn't like!
;o)
mummyx8@hotmail.com
I love charm packs, but that may just be because I made my first quilt ever with one.
not jellys...
I like FQs.
like yardage - gives me flexibility
Anything from Basic Grey
Charms are a nice size that can be worked into many designs. svonfumetti at yahoo dot com
I have only used charm packs so far. (New quilter) so I guess I would have to say charm packs. :)
I am new quilter and have only used a charm pack so far-for most projects I buy by the yard and cut.
My next purchase will be a pink girlie jelly roll to make a valentines red and pink hearts quilt. If anyone could recommend what to buy it would be great.
Thank you for the giveaway and the chance to visit your blog, You are a very accomplished quilter, congratulations.
Happy Christmas and best wishes to your family.
layer cakes
FQs are my favorite, and charm packs are fun for lots of colour! Thank you for the great giveaway!
I really like them all but right now I am really liking the layer cakes :)
I love charm packs for crib-sized quilts, but I am planning to try a quick jelly roll quilt soon.
I have never used precuts before, but I would love the chance to try! I normally use fat quarters or longer yardage. But the precut fabrics look so pretty bundled up in their little rolls that I would love to play with them!
I love them all, but have only tried a charm pack. I think I would like to try a layer cake next : )
I like Jelly Rolls the most, because they seem to work best with the quilts I want to make. There is no shortage of patterns with 2.5" strips!
charm packs! crossing my fingers! gillian{dot}carnahan{ar}gmail.com
As a new(er) quilter I haven't used too many precuts, just a couple of charm packs and one pack of mini charms. They are fun though! I loved the mini charms esp for a small way to enjoy the whole line.
Thanks for the chance! The table runner is gorgeous.
I think layer cakes are the best. Thanks,
courtneyahrenholtz at gmail.com

Charm packs are my favorite. The possibilities are endless
Fat quarter bundles.
I've bought all three types of pre-cuts - but I buy charm packs the most. Thanks for the generous give away!
Charm packs. Their low cost gives me a chance to try lines I normally wouldn't. I love making table toppers out of them for a quick change of decor around the house.
Charm packs are a great way to sample many prints at once!
I like all of them, but charm packs are just awesome!
I like working with charm packs and FQs.
I like working with layer cakes and charm packs - and I love a FQ bundle too - but I have to say layer cakes are my very favorite. Thanks for the chance to enter!
I love them all but most recently used a jelly roll for some quilting binding! I have a Canadian address :)
I like layer cakes... they are pretty versatile. I got two quilts out of one layer cake..after that I was sold.
I am addicted to FQ's!
I like both layer cakes and charm packs! Thanks for the giveaway! Amy @ gasudimack(at)sbcglobal(dot)net
I love layer cakes!
Layer cakes are my favorite, well, besides FQs. I usually cut the layer cakes into small pieces and wonder -- does that defeat the purpose of pre-cuts?
I love Fat Quarters!
mmjohnson555 at gmail dot com
I have only ever bought charm packs which I like because they are such a nice inexpensive way to get a sample of all the fabrics in a line. Plus they are really easy to work with.
I usually use charm packs but have always wanted to try a layer cake
