First up Vintage in the Simply Retro book

10 Fat Quarters

Will be my next one -

 The Carpenter Star Quilt Pattern
8 Fat Quarters

AND last - but not least - Shine by Sherri McConnell

Fat Quarter Challenge

I have given myself a challenge.  A Fat Quarter challenge.  I have a few bundles of 25th and Pine.

I love this line - and each year I always wish I had been more on the ball so I could give people a cute Christmas quilt December 1st to welcome in the season.  I'm never on top of my game - until this year!  So I'm taking this bundle of 40 fat quarters - and making multiple quilts to get the best bang for my buck out of this bundle!

Here is my currently line up.

10 Fat Quarters
This quilt has been on my to do list for a long time - so I'm so excited to finally make it!

Next up is the Carpenter Star Quilt Pattern
8 Fat Quarters

I've made this pattern a few times - see here and here and I always love the results.  I thought how fun would a Christmas one be?

Next up is Vintage in the Simply Retro book
18 Fat Quarters

I started this quilt in a fall version and LOVE it - this may be the one I start with because I'm SO excited for it!  Can you just imagine it with the white grunge and Christmas prints!

AND last - but not least - Shine by Sherri McConnell
10 Fat Quarters

This quilt has been on my to do list for awhile - and after quilting one up yesterday I have to make it myself!

This is using a bundle with 40 Fat Quarters - obviously if I do this again with a Solstice bundle I'll have to forgo one of the quilts.  But I'm so excited!!!!  Four quilts per bundle puts a quilt at $26 plus some background and/or border!  Pretty good deal for Christmas!

If you'd like to play along - I am listing my bundles here at a discounted price - just leave me a comment with your email and I'll send over an invoice - or email me abby (at) latimerlane (dot) com and I can get you a bundle.

25th and Pine Bundles - 40 FQB - $105 plus shipping (retail for $136!) 4 available
Solstice - 32 FQB - $95 plus shipping  - 6 available
Holly Wishes - 31 FQB - $92 plus shipping - 1 available
La Fete de Noel - 28 FQB - $86 - 1 available

If you're interested in full kits - bundles with the background yardage and borders let me know and I can give you rates.

Christmas in July

If you follow me at all on Instagram you might have seen my urging everyone to start their Christmas projects early!  I know its early - I've had Christmas fabric coming and selling since February - and it is SO early.

But - I also remember how I felt last year during the holidays - my bucket list of 20 things to do with the kids in the month of December.... 2 got done.  I was tired and a little depressed the whole month of December.  My heart wasn't in it, which makes me sad because normally I love Christmas.

So this year - I'm urging everyone to think of Christmas early.  Get those projects going.  I always have a list a mile long of quilts I want to make people and I never get to them - so I will be sewing right along with you the whole month of July.

To help motivate you all to finish up some WIPs - I am having a Christmas in July Quilt Sale - meaning All Christmas patterns (snowflakes, candy canes, holly, bells, anything with Christmas in the title) will be on sale for $.01 per inch the whole month of July.  This is big - as a lot of those popular Christmas patterns are detailed and dense - and are some of the highest priced patterns I have - so take advantage.  ON TOP of the pattern sale - if you have a quilt in a Christmas pattern or Christmas material - and you aren't feeling a Christmas pattern - you too can chose any pattern you want for the $.01 per inch special.

Here is the catch - I have to receive the quilt between July 1st - 31st.  I am currently running around 4 weeks out - and from what I've seen on Instagram I'm thinking I will get a fair amount of quilts - so this may put me into an 8 week or so turnaround.  So keep that in mind - and send what you have as early as possible.  Patterns are EDGE to EDGE designs only.  No special trims/borders etc available with this sale.  No rush orders will be accepted as part of the sale either.

So pull out your WIPs, grab a Christmas project/quilt/bundle and get going.  You have a month!  Check back as I will be sharing the projects I am going to be working on - I have 6 (ouch) that I need to whip through this month.  I'm also going to be offering up some kits and a fun Fat Quarter Challenge in the next week - so stay tuned!  We are only 177 days until Christmas.  If you start working on projects - post them to instagram using #christmasinjulyalong fun inspiration!

If you're new to my blog - Hi thanks for stopping by - and if you're interested in quilting - take a look at my pinterest board to see the patterns I'm offering - and at the top has my email address if you want more information shoot me an email!  Thanks

Menu Mondays

Wow its been awhile since I posted a menu!  But this week I'm starting a new life - I worked out - I've eaten well - and I'm going to try to cook a few meals at home.... what a concept.  Mike asked me a week or two ago if my goal was to eat out every single night.... why yes - yes it was!

I'm almost at 10,000 steps today and will for sure get there by the end of the night - so here's to a good start!

Monday - Tortellini w/Caesar salad
Tuesday - Turkey meatball and Pineapple skewers (real easy - meatballs from costco -marinate in teriyaki sauce w/pineapple and grill
Wednesday - Steak, salad, and fruit
Thursday - Boys fend for themselves - I've got a shower
Friday - Pesto Chicken and fruit
Saturday - another shower - whats going on?

My goal is 10,000 steps a day - which I usually can't do without a little workout - so hopefully that will keep me motivated!

Off to make dinner!

Client Quilts

I found some old pictures I don't think I've blogged yet!  I'm trying to stay current (or more current) and these are from LAST YEAR!  I can't even remember who's quilts these all were!  So I'll let the pictures do most of the talking.

First up is the cute quilt - pattern by Cluck Cluck Sew Sugar Dish I love these bright fun colors it was done out of!

I'm a sucker for a dresden block!

The quilting pattern is Butterfly Garden

Love this next quilt - and Orange Peels looked great on it (doesn't it look great on everything?)

I want a quilt with this backing - SO CUTE!

I love any quilt that has some type of chain look to it - so this was so fun to work on!

The quilting was dense - Double Rose Special - but perfect for this quilt!

This next quilt out of Marmalade is a favorite!  I love this pattern and the fabric.  The orange border kills me!

Pam chose Anne's Favorite Flower for the quilting design.  One of my favorite flower patterns!
This border!

She used the orange floral from Happy Go Lucky for the backing which was perfect!  LOVE this print.

This next quilt is a leaf pattern and we used Leaves as the design.

Blogger’s Quilt Festival Baby Love

I have a new quilt finished - and just in time to enter it in the Bloggers Quilt Festival Mini Quilts Category.  I love that Amy puts this on each year and it is so much fun and inspiration to see all the fun quilts!

If you follow me at all - you know I've been totally obsessed with the Baby Love pattern from Camille Roskelley's Simply Retro book.  This is my 3rd quilt made out of this pattern - and it won't be my last.  I love how big the block is (wouldn't a quilt of these big blocks be SOOOO cool?) I love how fast it goes together - and I love that its the perfect size for a baby quilt/gift.

I'm also obsessed with April Showers by Bonnie and Camille - so I chose this 3rd installment of this pattern to use their fabrics.  I went with the cute umbrellas for the middle, the green grass bella solid for the border and the to die for should have bought more of the navy polka dot for the corner hst.  Topped it off with the red stripe binding and I was good to go!  I love how it turned out.

I used a new design for the quilting a basket weave which I'm still perfecting a bit!  But I really love how it all turned out - now just to decide who should get it....

Thanks Amy for a fun festival!

Market Quilts - Client Quilts

This last weekend my phone and I were like glue as I couldn't stop staring at all the beautiful pictures from Quilt Market.  So much inspiration!

Do you have favorites you saw?  I'm getting ready to place an order - so let me know if you HAVE TO HAVE something.

Today's client quilt parade will be the quilts I was lucky enough to work on for some of the designers for market.  So much fun to get to see these beautiful fabrics in advance!

First up are a few quilts by Vanessa from Lella Boutique  She has an AWESOME new line coming out called Into the Woods that you're gonna love.  I've shown these quilts before, but wanted to share a few pics.  It was so much fun to see pictures these hanging up in her cute booth!
We used the ever popular Orange Peel on this cute Cartwheel quilt.  I love the pink and red mix fabric she used on the back!

Next up is Snow Blossoms which has on been on my to do list forever!  I finally pulled fabrics this week to get working on mine.

We went with the ever classic Baptist Fan.  Love how this quilt turned out.  I may have to use my own bundle of this line and copy this quilt.

This last quilt from Vanessa is for a layer cake star pattern that was featured during Schoolhouse at Market.  If you google Quilt Market Schoolhouse you will see a few of the designers with these quilts - fun that they all turned out so different!  Vanessa  made a Mini Charm, Charm, AND a Layer Cake version and they are all different!  I'm going to have to keep rewatching to figure out which one I want to make.  I'm thinking a Christmas BIG star is would be just perfect!

I wanted to do something fun and different on this quilt - so sent over some ideas and Vanessa picked this fun bread basket design - its so new I don't have it listed yet!  I will soon.  See how cool it looks on the back!  Thanks Mary for showing me this design!  I'm sure it will be one we are both using a lot!

I was lucky enough to quilt up a few for the Basic Grey girls.
They have this new cute pattern coming out - so new its not on their website yet!  (Amy - send me a link to your pattern so I can update this!)  Its made from their new line Persimmons.  Its got some fun colors and prints in it.  A corally orange, navy, birds, geometrics, florals.  every time I came up to it I found a new print I loved!

The quilting pattern used is called Circles and Lines.  I was a little worried about using this one - I mean it was a new to me pattern.  This is a new line - going to be at Market - in the Moda Designer booth, first time customer! So many reasons not to pick this one!  I played around with 2 other designs and laid them out - and then just went with this one.  I'm SOOOOOO glad I did - I LOVE how it turned out!

I think this pattern is fun and modern - adds great texture without overwhelming the fabrics.  Its a keeper!  And the floral backing was so cute!

Their next quilt is from their pattern Mesmerize pattern redone in Persimmon's fabric.  We went with the Orange Peel for this one.

This pattern is mesmerizing that is for sure!  I loved looking at it to see how the blocks were formed while it was quilting.

What I love about this line is the mix of geometric, leaves, birds, florals - such a fun different mix and goes together so well.

I was also lucky enough to work on the Schoolhouse star for Basic Grey.  Funny thing is - I had quilted Vanessa's and the next day quilted this one - I had NO idea they were the same pattern.  I emailed Vanessa and made mention of the star design and she explained the Schoolhouse idea - and I was like duh!  How did I not see it?  BUT that is what I LOVED about seeing the different designers with their quilts.  They all look so different using the same pattern!

I used another new to me design called Forever Flower and I love how it turned out.  This flower is big and kind of a more modern feel to it.  I'm really loving it.

Let me just tell you about the grunge in this line.  You can't see it here - but there is a taupey feel to it I will be buying BOLTS of this.  Such a great, warm background.  They used it in all 3 quilts and it was amazing to look at!

Last but not least - was this beautiful quilt by Carrie Nelson of Miss Rosie's Quilt Co.  I have to say every time I quilt for Carrie I shake a little during the process.  I mean - she is the QUEEN of QUILTING.  I am honored and pinch myself a little when she sends me a quilt.

This pattern is called Sugarboo and is one of her big quilts she introduced at market.  First off - can't believe how many patterns she has releasing!  I want to make them all!  If you haven't seen them - RUN to her instagram account and take a look.  (Carrieandrosie)

Most of the fabrics in this quilt were from Color Me Happy, but she has some others thrown in too.  I love how she had her cornerstones random every other row - and she threw in a few different blocks with different sashing colors.

I love the little flower that was fussy cut in the center!  Everytime I work on a quilt from Carrie I learn to come out of my box a little when sewing.  Who would have through throwing in a aqua and pink sashing so randomly in the middle of white would turn out so cute?  I don't think I would have a) ever thought of it and b) been brave enough to pull it off!  Which is why she is totally the queen!

She chose Clamshells - which is perfect on most any quilt!  These pictures are horrible - I think it was getting dark?  Or really bright?  haha I can't remember - but they don't do this quilt justice.  It was stunning.  I love the backing fabric she used also.

I am blown away by the inspiration that is out there.  It was so fun to see the new patterns and fabric coming out this year.  I am so grateful I was able to be a small part in this industry I love so much.  Now I just want to take a week off and sew......
