April Showers Jelly Filled

A few months back I saw the cutest Jelly Filled quilt on @saracecilquilts Instgram feed (BTW if you don't have one of her ladders yet - GET one!  They are great!).  She made her's out of April Showers and I knew I had to make one just like it!

I started cutting 3 - yes 3 - Halloween, Christmas, and April Showers.  I love this pattern.  Takes 1 jelly roll and some yardage for borders.  I made a scrappy one a month or two back for my sister and didn't add borders.  Its a great fast quilt if you need a gift too!

Out of the 3 I have my April Shower's quilt sewn, quilted and bound.  Eerie is close behind.

I used a newer quilting design called Water Drops

And used my favorite navy polka dot for the big big border!  Add a little stripe binding (I LOVE all these stripes from April Showers)

And the cute umbrella print for the back - and I have myself my new favorite quilt!

This was a sneak peak on Instagram.  So glad I have a finished quilt for me!  I can't remember the last time I finished a bigger quilt for myself.

I was wrapped up watching the Bachelor finale in it all night long!

Blogger’s Quilt Festival Baby Love

I have a new quilt finished - and just in time to enter it in the Bloggers Quilt Festival Mini Quilts Category.  I love that Amy puts this on each year and it is so much fun and inspiration to see all the fun quilts!

If you follow me at all - you know I've been totally obsessed with the Baby Love pattern from Camille Roskelley's Simply Retro book.  This is my 3rd quilt made out of this pattern - and it won't be my last.  I love how big the block is (wouldn't a quilt of these big blocks be SOOOO cool?) I love how fast it goes together - and I love that its the perfect size for a baby quilt/gift.

I'm also obsessed with April Showers by Bonnie and Camille - so I chose this 3rd installment of this pattern to use their fabrics.  I went with the cute umbrellas for the middle, the green grass bella solid for the border and the to die for should have bought more of the navy polka dot for the corner hst.  Topped it off with the red stripe binding and I was good to go!  I love how it turned out.

I used a new design for the quilting a basket weave which I'm still perfecting a bit!  But I really love how it all turned out - now just to decide who should get it....

Thanks Amy for a fun festival!

Lucette Quilt - Quilting and Kits

I am so excited to be offering this fun, cute quilt kits for this new pattern Jodi from Pleasant Home just released!

She made this version out of a mix of April Showers by Bonnie and Camille and Country Girls by Riley Blake.  Two of my most favorite lines right now!  I love how they mixed!

Jodi used the cute scene print from Country Girls and fussy cut each center block.  This quilt couldn't have been any better!  I quilted it up using my current "go to" pattern Clamshells and backed it in this aqua and navy backing.

The fun part is I've put together some bundles - so if you're interesting in making the same quilt - the work is all done!  I have these bundles in my shop for $34 - this includes 12 fat quarters and 1/2 yard cut of the cute print used to fussy cut the centers.  You can also get a scrappy binding out of the bundle.

If interested I would be happy to make it a full kit with the white background and backing as well - just let me know.

I've seen Jodi make this pattern 3 times now and it looks cute each and every time!  Run and buy the pattern now!

Precuts Have Arrived!!!!

You may or may not know - but I've been running a little Etsy shop for about 5 years now.  I sell quilts and runners and stash fabric over the last few years.

I've recently decided to try selling small pickins of yardage and now precuts!

To help me get started - and hopefully push my little shop in the right direction - I put my eggs (and money) into April Showers by Bonnie and Camille for Moda.  If you haven't seen this line yet - you are going to die when you do.  The prints are perfect (as usual) great colors, grey, red, blue, greens and yellow.  I couldn't think of a better line to start my little venture out with!

April Showers isn't due to ship out til March - but Moda offered a Sample Spree sale where we could order a limited amount of precuts - so today is your lucky day!

I've got 1 fat eight bundle, jelly rolls, charms and mini's so jump in and get yours today!  I've got more coming in February - and yardage of this line in March.  Stay tuned for some fun kits to pop up too!

I also have a few precuts of Color Me Happy by Vanessa Christenson.  I have LOVED every single quilt I have seen come out of this line!  Run to her store to get these patterns.  These 3 are on my to do list....

Yardage will be arriving in March for the triangle one - and I can't wait!

Remember this quilt that Sherri made a few months back?  I love this pattern and have wanted to make this quilt ever since I quilted hers (this happens to me a lot lately).  Wouldn't this be perfect out of Color Me Happy?  I'm so excited - I might start cutting it out tonight!

Head on over to the shop if you're interested in any of these precuts.  They are going fast!  If you order today/tomorrow/Saturday - you can still get the in time for Christmas!!!

Happy Shopping!
